How It Works
Your step-by-step guide to enrollment, success, and earning

1. Apply to the program
Submit your application to begin your DataGen Scholar journey officially. Enrollment began April 1, 2026, and will last until August 31, 2026.
2. Attend a Virtual Program Information session
Learn about the program and meet the SaNDAI Cares team. These are invitation-only events.
3. Secure your spot with a $500 commitment fee*
Pay the reimbursable $500 commitment fee to confirm your enrollment. This fee will be refunded at the start of Month 7 once you:

Complete Modules 1–3

Earn your Data Literacy, AI Fundamentals, Data Governance Fundamentals, and GDPR & Data Privacy Fundamentals certificates.

Have a validated LinkedIn profile by SaNDAI Cares
*Need assistance with the fee? You may complete 50 hours of community service through SaNDAI Cares instead. All service hours must be completed before the program’s start date.

7. Complete all assigned tasks (the “Money menu”)
For the first 180 days, follow the Money Menu — a guided roadmap of lessons, tasks, and deliverables designed to build skills and earn your money.

9. Pass the midpoint exam
Demonstrate your knowledge by passing the DataGen Scholar midpoint assessment.
10. Enter module 4: ai-aides micro job
Apply what you’ve learned in a real-world setting — assisting SaNDAI or its clients. Earn up to $2,000. + Additionally, complete 10 hours of community service at a community-based organization or nonprofit.

11. Graduate with distinction but remain connected
Receive your official DataGen Scholar Program Completion Certificate, signaling your readiness for future academic, civic, or professional opportunities.
*The DataGen Scholar Program is currently undergoing accreditation review by the American Accreditation Association.
