The program is conducted online through SaNDAI’s Learning Platform and is accessible to students via their phones or computers. Using their computers, students can also access DataCamp and IBM SkillBuild lessons and coursework.
Students are required to check in virtually with SaNDAI team members twice a week. These check-ins allow progress tracking and allow students to ask questions. All check-ins will occur at scheduled times each week.

As a participant in the DataGen Scholars Program, you can access your assigned courses for each month at any time, day or night. There is no set schedule, so whether you prefer to work during the day, late at night, or just on weekends, the choice is entirely yours.
DataGen Scholars is a self-paced program, which means you are in control of your learning journey. However, you are also expected to hold yourself accountable for completing all course content on time, as your compensation is directly tied to your learning output.
Your success depends on your dedication, discipline, and drive.
You will earn $150 for the Data Literacy certification and $150 for the AI Fundamentals certification. Both certifications must be completed within the first 60 days of the program.
Failure to comply may result in your removal from the program.
The Micro Job phase starts after you complete the first four modules of the DataGen Scholars Program and pass the midpoint exam. This typically begins around Month 7 of the program, marking the start of your hands-on, paid project experience where you apply what you have learned in real-world settings.
During the Micro Job phase of the program, you can earn up to $2,000 by completing real-world projects for SaNDAI or our partners. Your earnings will depend on the quality of your work, the timely completion of tasks, and your active participation throughout the phase.
To participate in the DataGen Scholar Program, you pay a $200 reimbursable commitment fee. As long as you complete the required tasks in Modules 1 through 4, that fee is refunded to you at the start of Module 5, so you are essentially getting paid to learn.
